About Image Size Reducer
The reducer tries a range of encoding qualities before reducing dimensions. This favors retaining resolution when possible, but very small targets can substantially reduce detail. KB means 1024 bytes and MB means 1024 KB here.

Will the file be exactly the target size?
No. Browser encoders produce discrete results. The tool aims at or below the target where possible and reports the actual size.
Why did the dimensions change?
Quality reduction alone could not reach the requested size, so the tool reduced the pixel dimensions.
What happens to a transparent PNG?
The reducer exports JPG and fills transparency with white. Keep the original if you need its alpha channel.
Why can a tiny target fail?
Every encoded file has a minimum overhead. The tool reports when even its smallest result exceeds the target.
Will the result remain readable?
Small text and fine detail can degrade. Always inspect the result before submitting it.
